8/12/06 - The luck of the draw... that and a shorten race format is what it came down to this weekend. The ASA Late Model division was in town today, so there were no heat races. Starting positions were based on pulling a number out of a bag, and the race would only be 40 laps. Bryant drew 12th position, while the points leader 50 John Papin started in 3rd. The race had a rough start with multiple cautions in the first few laps. Once things got straightened out and settled down, Bryant went to work on the rest of the field with his sights set squarely on the leaders. On lap 14 there is a spin in turn 3, at the same time in turn 4 Bryant pinches in down under the 12 of Colby Altmire and spins to keep from tagging him. Bryant restarts in 6th as the laps continue to wind down. On lap 23, Bryant moves into 3rd and begins to reel in 1 Lee Gill who has pulled away from him in 2nd. Now 27 laps are in the book and he catches the Lee Gill and passes him for the 2nd position, but by now 50 John Papin has put a 3rd of the track between him and Bryant. But the Trim team didnt give up and kept charging hard. By lap 33 Bryant was the fastest car on the track, but on lap 35 the caution came out. The gap Papin had on Trim was now gone. Five laps to decide the race and the Trim Motorsports car was the fastest car on the track, but it wasnt to be. On the restart, Papin got a great jump on Byrant pulling 5 to 6 car lengths ahead of him. Forty laps was the distance... that was just a few laps too short for Bryant to overtake Papin, but the run to the front was an exciting and impressive one.

8/9/06 - The 2007 season is looking like a NASCAR Busch East season for the Trim Motorsports team. The team is currently looking for more sponsors to be able to compete the full season in 2007. 8/5/06 - An uneventful weekend... just what the team needed after the past few weeks. No week long repairs to the race car, only minor tweaks here and there. The weekend started with a second place finish behind the 11 of Jerry Dineen in the heat race. The feature started as an exact duplicate of the heat race with Dineen in first and Bryant in second. By lap 20 Chola Shay in the 2s and the 50 of Johnny Pappin had turned it into a 4 car battle for the lead. Bryant had had enough of riding behind Dineen and went to the outside, where he battled for 2 laps but couldnt complete the pass. In doing so, Chola Shay slid underneath Bryant. Pappin followed suit and soon Bryant was in 4th position where he finished the night. The only car to get around Dineen was the 2s of Chola Shay who won with a pass to the outside. In victory lane. Shay thanked the Trim Motorsports team for the help with the win. Earlier in the day, he had borrowed parts from the Trim team.

7/29/06 - NASCAR weekend... the excitement was in the air. Bryant qualified in 9th position, but they only inverted the top 8 positions, leaving Bryant to have to fight through the field. By lap 10, the car begins to come into its own for Bryant and he begins his charge through the field. Soon he is in a battle for 5th position with 2s Chola Shay, 12 Colby Altmire, and 11 Jerry Dineen, but just as Bryant gets under Shay for the pass, Dineen jams on the brakes just in front of Bryant to pull to pit road unexpectedly. Shay and Altmire both pass Bryant dropping him back to 7th. He quickly dispatches Altmire and begins to work on 2s Chola Shay. But the bad luck of the past few weeks continues to plague Trim Motorsports. On lap 33 as Bryant begins to set up to pass Shay coming out of turn 4, the lapped car 94 of Billy Coyle doesnt move to the high side and causes Shay to get on the brakes to keep from running into the back of him, this in turn causes a chain reaction through the tightly grouped cars. Bryant brakes to keep from running all over Shay and can't veer to the outside because of the lapped car of 8 Shane Monnat. 12 Colby Altmire had a great run into the corner and was closing the gap fast on the back of Bryant when all of this occurred and was unable to get on the binders fast enough, getting into the back on Bryant spinning him around. Unfortunately, the 21 of Mark Scoville spun the car sideways trying to avoid Bryant's car sitting in the middle of the turn, hitting the front end with his passenger side door. Bryants radiator was busted in the impact, taking him out of the race. He finished 16th and dropped to a tie for 5th position in the points with the 11 of Jerry Dineen.

7/15/06 - July 1st came back to haunt Trim Motorsports. The day started off with Bryant starting Heat #2 in 4th position. The whole race was fought holding off the 3 of Tommy Cloce for third position. The feature was a consistent race. Bryant ran in 5th position for the majority of the race, due to a push that the car had developed. Bryant began feeling a vibration in the car with about 7 to 8 laps to go. Coming out of turn 4 finishing up lap 5, the car twitches a bit. As Bryant entered turn 1, sparks shoot from under the car and the right front tire shoots out from under the car. The hit into the turn 1 wall was a hard one. Bryant exited the car holding his arm. The speculation in the pits was that the hub of the rim was cracked from the accident on July 1st and was unfortunately not caught. So as the car ended turn one, it finally gave out separated the tire from the hub. Bryant luckily ended up with only bruises to his arm, and with 2 weeks to rest it, he will be back and ready to race on July 29, NASCAR Weekend.

7/8/06 - Fifth place was an excellent starting position for the heat race this week. Bryant didn't take long to take the lead from the 12 of Colby Altmire, who broke something in the steering as Bryant was making the pass. Bryant went on to be uncontested for the heat win. The feature started off with a false start. Bryant was started in 6th position. The second attempt was a success full start. By lap two, Bryant had been shuffled to the back of the pack. The 32 of Bill Fountain and Bryant battled it out in the back until lap 12, where a pass to the outside gave Bryant the position. By then alot of ground had been lost to the leaders. But that wasn't going to stop Byrant. The car was fast and he was making up ground, he just needed a caution to help make up the time. On lap 41, he got the caution he needed, from the most unlikely person. The 55 of Bill Bertrand, who caused him all the headaches of last week, broke up in turns 3 and 4. Bryant was now in 4th with a shot at the two 3 cars, but only 9 laps to do it in. Unfortunately, the car didn't have anything left for the top 3. Bryant finished 4th but moved back up in the point standing to the 2nd position. So another great weekend for the Trim Motorsports team.

7/1/06 - A night that won't be soon forgotten, but not in the way you would hope. The evening started off with the 55 Bill Bertrand running hard with Bryant during the first laps of the heat race. Bryant could only muster a 6th place do to the lost time in that battle. The night wasn't over, and there were high hopes in the Trim pits as the feature rolled around. The event was to be a 76 lap shootout. Bryant started in 10th position, but the night got ugly fast. As the cars dive into turn one, to start the race, 4 cars get together just behind Bryant. On the restart, Bryant started in 6th position, but as they started out of turn 4 on lap 2, things went south. The 75 of Jim Southard and the 94 of Billy Coyle got together, directly in front of Bryant. It looked like Bryant would be involved for sure, but he took a hard right to the outside and managed to avoid the two spinning cars. Unfortunately that wasn't the end of the incident. As Bryant came off the high side of turn 4 just missing the accident, the 55 or Bill Bertrand turned from the bottom of the straightaway, across the track, and into the side of Bryant's car, sending him hard into the front stretch wall. The damage was extensive. Byrant attempted to start the car and drive it back to the pits only to find that the steering had been broke and he was done for the night. Once Bryant exited his car, he immediately began to walk towards the exit of turn 3 where the 55 car was sitting due to the now red flag for Bryant's wrecked car. Unfortunately Byrant was unable to express his displeasure with Bertrand, because track officials intercepted Bryant before he got there. The 55 team left the track that evening before anything could be resolved as to why he came across the track on the straightaway to hit the Trim car. The incident ended the night and the hold on the points lead. Bryant finished second to last in the race and dropped to 3rd in the point standings.

6/24/06 - The weekend started out with a fairly uneventful heat race with Bryant starting second to last on the grid and working his way up to 4th. The feature was another story. Starting 10th, Bryant began picking his way through the field, keeping the 50 of John Papin and the 3 of Tom Cloce in his rearview mirror. Under one of the numerous cautions Chola Shay came to the pits where the Trim crew came to his assistance in changing a flat right rear tire and making a few adjustments to the car. With their help, Shay managed to resume the race before the green flag dropped. Bryant moved to 3rd on the restart, where he battled hard with 11 Jerry Dineen. The battle lasted several laps with Dineen throwing block after block on Bryant. In the meantime, 50 John Papin managed to pass the both of them. Dineen's blocking finally got the best of him, causing him to get lose and giving the position to Bryant but in the mean time Bryant had lost a position to Tom Cloce in the 3 car. As the night drew to a close, Bryant's push, which he had been dealing with all day, began to get worse. Through it all, Byrant ended up with a 3rd place finish, a continued hold on the points lead, and a true show of sportsmanship by the crew.

6/18/06 - The 59 Bryant Trim Monte Carlo finished 4th in this weekends 50 lapper at AIS. He definitely had the fastest cars on the track, coming from last to 2nd in the 8 lap heat race. Two close calls came with spins directly in front of him during both the heat and feature races but heads up driving by Bryant avoided getting tangled in the messes. During the feature race Bryant had worked his way into second battling the 2s of Chola Shay for the lead, when lapped traffic caused Bryant to be forced high in turn 1 up out of the groove, dropping him to fourth. Byrant never quite recovered from the tangle with 55 Bill Bertrand and finished the day in the 4th position, but holding onto the points lead by 6.

6/2/06 - Challenger Late Model driver Bryant Trim, of Morrisonville, opened the season in a big way by winning the 101-lap Memorial Day last Saturday at Adirondack International Speedway... The Press Republican
